Chelsea reportedly fear being without Ruben Loftus-Cheek for up to a year after the central midfielder injured his knee in Thursday morning's charity friendly against New England Revolution.
The England international is believed to have ruptured his Achilles when getting his foot caught in the grass and left the Gillette Stadium wearing a protective boot.
According to The Sun, Chelsea's medical team are assessing the damage but it looks as though the 23-year-old will miss between six months to a year.
Loftus-Cheek will definitely sit out the Europa League final clash with Arsenal in two weeks' time, and he has been left out of England's squad for the UEFA Nations League finals.
Callum Hudson-Odoi sustained a similiar injury in the 2-2 draw with Burnley last month and may also be out of action until 2020.
