Chelsea have revealed that Andre Schurrle missed their FA Cup upset against Bradford City this afternoon because of a minor back injury.
The German World Cup winner has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge as the Blues reportedly pursue Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado.
Speculation over Schurrle's future will only intensify after he was left out of a heavily-rotated squad for Saturday's shock fourth-round exit to League One Bradford, in which Chelsea led by two before losing 4-2.
However, manager Jose Mourinho has insisted to the club's official website that Schurrle, who has started only five Premier League games this season, was absent due to "to a little pain in his back."
The 24-year-old forward has been linked with a £23m move to Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg in recent weeks.
