Head coach Thomas Tuchel has heaped praise on Kepa Arrizabalaga after Chelsea recorded a 2-0 win over Brentford in the EFL Cup quarter-finals.
A much-changed Blues side had to wait until the 80th minute for their opener, but an own goal from Pontus Jansson and a Jorginho penalty earned Tuchel's side a deserved win on Wednesday night.
However, second-choice goalkeeper Arrizabalaga produced another strong showing between the sticks, leading to Tuchel to acknowledge that he had been left "super happy" with the Spaniard.
Speaking to reporters at a post-match press conference, Tuchel said: "I am super happy and impressed. It is not a surprise anymore, he is in that state of mind where he just delivers.
"He does what he is supposed to and this is what he shows every day in training. I am absolutely sure this is the reason why he has these performances."
Chelsea will face Tottenham Hotspur in the last four, the first leg being held at Stamford Bridge on either January 4 or 5.
