Chelsea full-back Ryan Bertrand has expressed his delight at being named in the Team GB men's football squad for the Olympic Games in London.
The England youth international was one of 18 players to receive a place in the squad from coach Stuart Pearce earlier today.
Reflecting on his selection, the 22-year-old was full of praise for Pearce, having worked with the manager at England youth level.
"I want to gain more experience and to be part of the Olympic team, representing Great Britain is fantastic for me as an individual," he told reporters.
"I have worked with Stuart on many occasions and the work he does is second to none."
Bertrand has made eight senior appearances for Chelsea.
