Chelsea have confirmed that Friday's press conference previewing their clash against Manchester City will no longer be held.
Manager Jose Mourinho was due to speak to the assembled media to discuss the highly-anticipated meeting with their Premier League title rivals.
However, the club have scrapped the pre-arranged commitment and even assistant boss Steve Holland, who has previously taken Mourinho's place, will not be in attendance.
The announcement comes a day after Diego Costa was charged with violent conduct by the Football Association after allegedly stamping on Emre Can in Tuesday's Capital One Cup semi-final victory over Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
Today, reports have claimed that Costa will contest the charge.
