Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is losing the support of his players, a source close to the club has claimed.
Fans turned on the 34-year-old boss during their 2-0 loss to Everton on Saturday, and it has been claimed that his own players "don't care whether he's there or not".
"The players stuck with AVB until the New Year because they realise he was under orders to change things. But his plans are obviously not working, the atmosphere in the dressing room is tense and more and more players are beginning to wonder whether he's the right man for the job," said the source.
"It's reached a stage where many of them don't care whether he's there or not. No-one foresaw this situation – but the results simply aren't there and he's suffering because of them."
The cost of hiring Villas-Boas and sacking former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti last May was believed to be in the region of £28m.
