Chelsea's partnership with Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem is to be investigated by the Dutch Football Association.
The Blues have an agreement with Vitesse under which they send fringe players to the Dutch side, with Lucas Piazon and Christian Atsu two of four squad members currently spending time with Vitas.
However, after the Dutch club's former owner, Merab Jordania, recently claimed in a newspaper interview that Vitesse were not allowed to qualify for the Champions League because "London didn't want that", KNVB have contacted Arnhem to seek further information.
Vitesse currently sit in third position in the Eredivisie standings.
