The Football Association may force England boss Fabio Capello to drop skipper John Terry from the Three Lions' Euro 2012 campaign.
The Chelsea captain is due to stand trial in five months' time for allegedly racially abusing Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand last October.
Despite the case being adjourned until after the European Championships, some have argued that the 31-year-old should be axed from the squad.
The English governing body are believed to be considering whether to tell Capello to strip Terry of the captaincy or drop him from the tournament altogether, according to The Mirror.
It is understood that the Italian manager is eager to include the centre-back in his squad and believes that Terry should be deemed innocent until proven guilty.
