Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has admitted that John Terry's absence from Tuesday's match with Ukraine is a blow for England.
Terry has been ruled out of the encounter with ankle trouble, with his club teammate claiming that it is a "big blow" for Roy Hodgson's side.
"It's a big blow, he's a top player and has experience of these kind of qualifying games. I think we are blessed with fantastic backup, and whoever comes in will be an experienced, top player," he told reporters.
"As is always the case when you lose a player, you need the squad to step up and do it and I'm sure we've got that."
England opened their World Cup qualification campaign with a 5-0 win over Moldova on Friday.
