Maurizio Sarri has reportedly appointed Giovanni Martusciello to his backroom staff ahead of his arrival as Chelsea manager.
The 59-year-old is expected to replace Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge in the coming days once a compensation package can be agreed with Napoli.
According to The Sun, Sarri has moved a step closer to joining Chelsea by landing former Genoa and Empoli midfielder Martusciello, who will work alongside Gianfranco Zola as part of the new-look backroom staff.
Martusciello is currently employed as Inter Milan's technical collaborator, meaning that he will likely fill the hole left by Michael Emenalo in West London.
The report also claims that Chelsea must foot a £15m bill if they are to sack Conte and appoint Sarri in his place.
