Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that Sir Bobby Robson played a significant role in his development as a manager.
Mourinho was initially used by Robson as a translator at Sporting Lisbon before later becoming the Englishman's assistant at Porto and Barcelona.
The duo went their separate ways in 1997 when Robson departed Camp Nou, but Mourinho has praised the former Newcastle United boss, who passed away in 2009, for the guidance that he offered at the start of his career.
After being asked about Robson during a Twitter Q&A, the 51-year-old told Yahoo! Sport: "He was a great person and I was a very young coach so on the human side and coaching side, he was fantastic. Important influence [on my career].
Mourinho's first taste of management came in 2000 when he was placed in charge of Benfica.
