Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that the Premier League title is still Manchester City's to lose, despite masterminding his side to a 1-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium this evening.
The Blues became the first domestic team to take points off City in Manchester this season, while they also became the first away side to come away from the Etihad with a clean sheet since November 2010.
"The next pre-season, me and my players will say openly that we are mature, solid from day one and are candidates for the league. This season is about evolution," Mourinho told Sky Sports News.
"We can [win the title] if they lose it. Arsenal are working for many, many years for the evolution of their team. What we are doing this season is what Arsenal have been building to for years.
"It means nothing for us to come here and park the bus and win 1-0 in a lucky situation. The evolution is more important."
City and Chelsea are both now locked on 53 points in second and third respectively, with Arsenal leading the way on 55 points.
