John Terry believes that it is a positive thing if members of the Chelsea squad are unhappy due to a lack of appearances.
Manager Andre Villas-Boas has introduced a rotation policy at Stamford Bridge, meaning that a number of players have had spells on the bench.
Terry, who has featured on a regular basis this season, has insisted that disappointed players are better than players that don't care.
"If there are some players in our squad who are unhappy that they are not playing, I would rather that than players prepared to tick along, collect their wages and not care if they are in the side or not," the skipper told talkSPORT.
"For me, it is a good thing to have, a passion and belief they should be playing."
Terry has found the net on four occasions this campaign.
