Andre Villas-Boas will reportedly sign a £16m contract to become the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur within the next 24 hours.
All British bookmakers - apart from Skybet, who are offering 1/12 on his appointment - are so convinced that the 34-year-old is on the verge of succeeding Harry Redknapp that they have stopped taking bets on the market.
It has been claimed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will continue to pay Villas-Boas, who was dismissed from his position at Stamford Bridge in March, £100,000 per week until the Portuguese becomes employed elsewhere or his contract expires in July 2014.
Villas-Boas is now prepared for his Chelsea income to stop as he has agreed a four-year deal with an annual salary of £4m to take over at White Hart Lane, according to The Sun.
It is believed that Tim Sherwood will be promoted to the role of directer of football to allow Villas-Boas to focus on the coaching aspect of his new job.
