Chelsea duo Trevoh Chalobah and Noni Madueke are both doubtful for Thursday's pre-season friendly against Borussia Dortmund at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Chalobah came on as a second-half substitute in the 2-0 friendly win over Fulham on Sunday, but he was withdrawn after just 15 minutes due to a knock, while Madueke missed out entirely with a hamstring issue.
The Blues pair are set to be assessed ahead of the clash with BVB, but Mauricio Pochettino will still be without Wesley Fofana, Armando Broja (both knee), Benoit Badiashile (thigh) and Marcus Bettinelli (unspecified) due to injury.
Goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina made his first appearance for Chelsea last weekend and will be hoping to keep his place between the sticks ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga, while fellow youngsters Bashir Humphreys, Andrey Santos and Mason Burstow – who also started against the Cottagers – could be given another run-out on Thursday.
Right-back Reece James could return to captain the Blues at the expense of Malo Gusto, and Ben Chilwell may keep his place at left-back, although both Lewis Hall and Marc Cucurella will challenge the Englishman for a starting spot.
Pochettino is expected to select two of Andrey Santos, Enzo Fernandez, Conor Gallagher or Cesare Casadei to start in centre-midfield, while Carney Chukwuemeka will be hoping to start his fourth pre-season game in the number 10 role.
Summer signings Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson have scored five goals between them so far this summer and the attacking duo could line up together from the start on Thursday, while the likes of Raheem Sterling, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Ian Maatsen will also battle for starts in the final third.
