Ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture between Chelsea and West Ham United, Sports Mole looks at how the Blues could line up at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea welcome West Ham United to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon as they bid to return to winning ways in the Premier League.

The Blues had prevailed in six successive matches in the top flight before succumbing to a 2-1 defeat at Manchester City last weekend.

While the West Londoners responded with a 2-2 draw away at Valencia in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, Frank Lampard will be hoping for an improved performance from his side against the Hammers.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how Chelsea may line up for the derby showdown with Manuel Pellegrini's outfit.


Out: Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Achilles), Antonio Rudiger (groin), Tammy Abraham (hip)
Doubtful: Ross Barkley (ankle), Callum Hudson-Odoi (hamstring)

While the hip injury sustained by Tammy Abraham in Spain is not expected to be as bad as first feared, Michy Batshuayi is likely to get the nod in attack.

Having only been given 20 minutes of action since October 5, Pedro could be brought back into the team as Lampard looks to manage the fitness of his squad ahead of a hectic schedule.

Despite being one of Chelsea's best players this season, Mateo Kovacic could also drop out having looked heavily fatigued during the closing stages against Valencia.

Mason Mount should be handed a recall, which would allow N'Golo Kante to take on a more defensive role in the centre of midfield.

Fikayo Tomori is expected to return in favour of Andreas Christensen, while Emerson Palmieri may be preferred to Cesar Azpilicueta, leaving Reece James to continue at right-back.
