Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson could make his return to Premier League action when the Blues host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Senegal striker suffered Africa Cup of Nations heartbreak on Monday, as his nation lost their last-16 clash with Ivory Coast on penalties, but he did not return in time to be considered for selection against Liverpool.
However, a West London comeback should now materialise for Jackson, but Lesley Ugochukwu (hamstring), Wesley Fofana (knee), Marc Cucurella (ankle), Reece James (thigh), Romeo Lavia (thigh), Robert Sanchez (knee) and Trevoh Chalobah (thigh) are still missing, while Levi Colwill is out with a tendon injury.
On a brighter note, Malo Gusto is raring to go and is a prime candidate to displace Ben Chilwell, whose horrendous first-half showing at Anfield saw him play a part in Liverpool's first two goals and also pick up a booking for simulation.
With Chilwell's fitness also being carefully managed, Gusto should step in on the left as Thiago Silva, Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi reprise their roles in front of Dorde Petrovic.
Carney Chukwuemeka can offer something different in the Blues engine room, but Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez will likely pair up once again, while Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer's spots in the final third should be safe too.
However, neither Conor Gallagher nor Noni Madueke emerged for the second half against Liverpool, so Jackson and Christopher Nkunku - scorer of Chelsea's consolation at Anfield - could be reinstated to the XI.
Chelsea possible starting lineup:
Petrovic; Disasi, Silva, Badiashile, Gusto; Caicedo, Fernandez; Palmer, Nkunku, Sterling; Jackson
