A number of Chelsea officials have reportedly met to discuss the future of head coach Maurizio Sarri.
The Italian went into Monday's FA Cup tie with Manchester United already under pressure to improve Chelsea's recent form, but the Blues tamely succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
Bookmakers have made Sarri the odds-on favourite to become the next Premier League boss to be sacked this season, and it appears that the club's hierarchy are considering a change in the dugout.
According to Sky Sports News, talks have been held at boardroom level regarding Chelsea's results and sacking Sarri in the near future has been discussed.
The report claims that appointing current assistant Gianfranco Zola as caretaker manager until the end of the season has emerged as a possibility should Chelsea's form not improve in the next week.
The West Londoners face Malmo in the Europa League on Thursday night before facing Manchester City in the EFL Cup final at the weekend.
