Lazio are reportedly close to agreeing terms with former Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri, who has been without a club since leaving Juventus last summer.
The Italian outfit have been left without a manager after Simone Inzaghi replaced Antonio Conte at Inter Milan, and Sarri is the leading candidate to fill the vacant managerial role.
Before departing Juventus, Sarri won the Serie A title during his single season in Turin and has vast experience of managing in the Italian top flight, having overseen 189 games across three different clubs.
According to Corriere dello Sport, a deal between Sarri and Lazio is close to being finalised and could be announced in the next few days.
The report suggests that Sarri's contract will run until 2024 and included in the deal will be bonuses for Europa League and Champions League qualification.
Sarri was linked with the vacant Tottenham Hotspur job but a return to his native Italy is expected to be completed soon.
