Thibaut Courtois has recovered from injury to get the nod ahead of Petr Cech, while Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa also start in the Blues' final pre-season run-out before the new campaign gets underway.

Fellow new boy Filipe Luis misses out, however, settling for a place among the substitutes.

Sociedad will be looking to bounce back from their late defeat against Newcastle United last time out and end their tour of England with a positive result.
