When Kovacic sustained a muscular injury last week, Tuchel was quick to rule the Croatian out of two matches. The Blues boss has since revealed that the midfielder will play no part against the Seagulls.

Despite almost completing the 90 minutes at Wembley, Silva frequently complained about a back problem. Tuchel has suggested that the veteran's workload is the main issue, which is likely to lead to the Brazilian not featuring at Stamford Bridge.
