Atletico Madrid have prepared an offer for Diego Costa which will be made to Chelsea this week, according to reports.
Despite being top scorer for the Blues last season, the Spain international has been told by Antonio Conte that he is not in his plans for 2017-18.
Meanwhile, Los Colchoneros had agreed a deal to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon this summer, but it fell through after their transfer ban was upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
According to Sky Sports News, Costa could be loaned to a Chinese Super League club until the end of the year, after which Atletico can register the player.
The report also suggests that Tianjin Quanjian were willing to pay Chelsea £76m for Costa in January, but Atletico believe that they can sign him for less than half that figure now.
Atletico sold Costa to Chelsea three years ago for £32m.
