Cardiff City are reportedly attempting to secure a major transfer coup by signing Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo this summer.
The Paraguay striker, who is desperate to leave Lisbon after falling out with Benfica boss Jorge Jesus, is valued at around £15m by the Portuguese giants after scoring 33 goals in all competitions last season.
A whole host of European clubs have been mentioned in connection with a move for Cardozo in the last few weeks, including Fenerbahce, Manchester City and Chelsea.
Cardiff have entered the race for the 30-year-old's signature and are prepared to meet his high wage demands if Benfica drop their current asking price, according to the Daily Mail.
Bluebirds boss Malky Mackay has agreed fees for Danish striker Andreas Cornelius and Blackpool winger Thomas Ince in the past seven days.
