Chelsea are reportedly confident of beating the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool to the signature of Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho.
The 19-year-old has been outstanding for Dortmund since joining the club from Manchester City in 2017 but his relationship with the German giants appears to have taken a downward turn in recent weeks.
A series of disciplinary issues have plagued the England international this season, and it is understood that BVB are now prepared to sell the attacker at some point during 2020.
United, Liverpool and Real Madrid were thought to be a in a three-way fight for the teenager, who is expected to command a transfer fee in excess of £100m.
However, according to Goal.com, Chelsea are ready to break their transfer record for Sancho and hope that the youngster's close relationship with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham will play a part in his decision.
As it stands, Frank Lampard's side would have to wait until next summer to sign Sancho due to their transfer suspension, although a deal could go through in January if the London club are successful in their appeal.
