Chelsea transfer news: Benoit Badiashile offered two escape routes ahead of 2025?

:Headline: Chelsea transfer news: Benoit Badiashile offered two escape routes ahead of 2025?:
Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile reportedly has two opportunities available if a decision is made to leave Stamford Bridge in 2025.

Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile is reportedly attracting interest from two clubs ahead of the January transfer window.

The France international has endured a mixed campaign at Stamford Bridge having only recently been handed opportunities in the Premier League.

An injury to Wesley Fofana is likely to lead to more chances for the former Monaco man in the short term, yet there can be no guarantees over his game time once Fofana has returned.

According to CaughtOffside, there are two clubs who will be monitoring the situation once the market reopens at the beginning of 2025.

France or Italy move in the offing?

Marseille and Juventus are both said to be considering whether to make a move for the 23-year-old as they bid to strengthen their respective squads.

In the case of Marseille, they sit eight points adrift of Paris Saint-Germain in the Ligue 1 table, albeit now with a game in hand after Auxerre held the leaders to a goalless draw on Friday night.

However, 17 goals have been conceded in their 13 league games under Roberto De Zerbi, who is familiar with Badiashile from his time in the Premier League with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Meanwhile, Juventus are in need of defensive reinforcements with Juan Cabal and Bremer having been ruled out in the long term through injury.

Badiashile would be earmarked as a straight alternative to Bremer, yet being a left-footed defender would see him provide cover on that side of the backline.

Will Chelsea be prepared to consider a January exit?

Head coach Enzo Maresca and Chelsea's recruitment team are currently highly unlikely to consider any exit for Badiashile in January.

A total of nine starts and two substitute outings have been made in all competitions, including six starts coming in the Conference League.

Although Badiashile has only accumulated 158 minutes of football in the Premier League, he is expected to be favoured to partner Levi Colwill while Fofana is on the sidelines.

Tosin Adarabioyo and Axel Disasi are considered behind him in the pecking order, despite their starts against Southampton earlier this week.

Furthermore, Badiashile holds a contract with the West Londoners until 2030. body check tags ::
