Didier Drogba's advisor has claimed that Chelsea failed with an approach to bring the Galatasaray striker back to Stamford Bridge.
The Ivorian left the Blues in the summer of 2012 following a successful eight-year spell with the club.
"[Jose] Mourinho called Drogba and told him he would like to see him back," Sky Sports News quotes Ceylan Caliskan as saying.
"However, Drogba is very happy at Galatasaray and he informed his former coach that he has no intention of leaving."
Chelsea are currently on their pre-season tour of Asia.
