Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified Nikola Kalinic as the ideal striker to ease Chelsea's problems in front of goal.
It is believed that with Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao having all struggled for form this term, Mourinho is eager to bolster his options up front during the January transfer window.
Former Blackburn Rovers frontman Kalinic joined Fiorentina during the summer and since then the Croatian has scored 10 goals in nine Serie A outings.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, that form has alerted Mourinho, who could launch a winter bid for the 27-year-old's services.
As well as Blackburn and Fiorentina, Kalinic has also played for Hajduk Split and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.
