Chelsea have reportedly seen two bids to sign Charlton Athletic prospect Mason Burstow rejected.
The Blues have had a relatively quiet transfer deadline day, with earlier reported interest in Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele failing to materialise.
However, the Daily Mail claims that Chelsea made two 'substantial bids' for 18-year-old striker Burstow, which were both turned down by the League One outfit.
Burstow, who has made seven league appearances for Charlton this season, was left out of ther matchday squad for Monday night's 2-1 win at Portsmouth, with head coach Johnnie Jackson revealing the youngster's 'focus was elsewhere'.
"A bid has come in from a Premier League club for Mason, so we've allowed him to go and chat with them," Jackson told the press.
"As far as I know nothing has been sort of done as yet, but obviously his focus was going to be elsewhere tonight, so we felt it best to let him go and have discussions and leave him out of the game."
Burstow scored with his first-ever touch in professional football when he came on as a substitute in Charlton's 6-1 EFL Trophy win over Crawley Town in August last year. body check tags ::
