Chelsea reportedly poised to sign Brazilian defender Wallace to add depth at full-back, according to reports.
Chelsea already own 40% of Wallace's economic rights as part of a deal struck with Fluminese during the sale of Deco in 2010.
It is also thought that the Blues pursuit of Wallace will not affect their bid for Marseille defender Cesar Azpilicueta, as they look to ease the pressure on right-back Branislav Ivanovic, according to The Mirror.
Roberto Di Matteo has enjoyed a busy summer in the transfer market, signing attacking trio Eden Hazard, Oscar and Marko Marin.
