Chelsea will make a third offer for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric, according to Sky Sports News.
They are expected to increase their offer to £40m after having had a reported £27m bid for the Croatian rejected.
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has stated he that he wants to hold on to the player. "We are not going to sell our best players, the likes of Modric and [Gareth] Bale," he said.
"We're looking to sell some fringe players but we have had no takers."
