Chelsea have reportedly joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Flamengo midfielder Gerson.
The 23-year-old has supposedly garnered the interest of Spurs ahead of the summer transfer window, but Jose Mourinho's side are said to have had a £16m bid for the Brazilian rejected by Flamengo.
Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are both rumoured to be keeping tabs on Gerson, and according to Fox Sports, Chelsea are also in the hunt for the midfielder.
Gerson still has three years left to run on his Flamengo contract, however, and it is claimed that the Club World Cup finalists will demand a fee of £30m for the former Roma man.
The Stamford Bridge faithful already have the arrival of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax to look forward to, while Timo Werner's proposed move to the blue side of London is reportedly nearing completion.
Leicester City's Ben Chilwell also continues to be linked with a move to Frank Lampard's side, but the Blues may face stiff competition from Manchester City for the England international.
