Chelsea are still in this season's Champions League, but it would be fair to say that the club are also putting a lot of effort into improving their squad ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
Deals for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner have already been completed, and it would not be a surprise to see more players both arrive and leave Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Stamford Bridge.
Saturday morning's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup:
Chelsea 'line up Jonathan Ikone as Kai Havertz alternative'
Chelsea could reportedly switch their attention to Lille attacker Jonathan Ikone should they fail to reach an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for Kai Havertz.
The Blues continue to be linked with a move for Havertz, with the Germany international thought to be determined to join Frank Lampard's side this summer.
However, according to Le 10 Sport, the London giants are currently exploring possible alternatives for the attacker and have identified Ikone as a potential signing.
The 22-year-old, who is thought to be valued in the region of £32m, ended the 2019-20 campaign with four goals and seven assists in 36 appearances in all competitions.
Chelsea 'reluctant to offer Tammy Abraham new contract'
Tammy Abraham's future at Chelsea is reportedly in doubt, with the English forward currently struggling to secure a starting role for the Blues.
The 22-year-old has scored a respectable 17 times in 46 appearances for Chelsea during the 2019-20 campaign, including 15 in 34 Premier League outings.
Abraham lost his starting role to Olivier Giroud in the latter stages of the Premier League season, though, and according to Football Insider, his future at the club is in doubt.
The report claims that the capital giants are currently reluctant to offer him a new contract, and he could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge during this summer's transfer window.
Rennes showing interest in Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori?
Chelsea centre-back Fikayo Tomori has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Rennes.
The 22-year-old only made 15 Premier League appearances for the Blues during the 2019-20 campaign, while he did not feature in the league after the lockdown period.
According to L'Equipe, Rennes are monitoring the situation ahead of potentially launching an approach for the England Under-21 international.
The Ligue 1 outfit have earned a place in next season's Champions League and are therefore expected to have the funds to launch a suitable offer for the central defender.
