Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri reportedly wants to bring Genoa's in-form centre-forward Krzysztof Piatek to Stamford Bridge as a replacement for Alvaro Morata.
Piatek, 23, moved to Genoa from Cracovia ahead of the 2018-19 campaign and has been in excellent form for his new club this term, managing 13 goals in eight appearances in all competitions.
Genoa have reportedly slapped a £43.8m price-tag on Piatek amid suggestions that Manchester City and Barcelona want to sign him at the end of this season.
However, according to The Express, Chelsea are desperate to bring Piatek to Stamford Bridge in the winter window, with new Blues boss Sarri looking for a replacement for Morata, who has struggled for form this season.
Piatek was named in Poland's preliminary squad for the 2018 World Cup but missed the final cut ahead of the tournament.
