Fiorentina have reportedly set their sights on signing Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, who spent the recently-completed season on loan at Napoli.
The 26-year-old played 44 times for Napoli in this campaign, and managed two goals and as many assists from his defensive role in the middle of the park.
Bakayoko arrived at Stamford Bridge from Monaco in 2017 for a transfer fee in the region of £40m but has had to embark on loan moves to AC Milan, a return to Monaco and his most recent loan to Napoli after his debut season in a Chelsea shirt.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano's Twitter page, Fiorentina have emerged as a potential destination for Bakayoko next season, but his wages may complicate a deal between the Italian club and the Blues.
The Frenchman is well experienced in Serie A having made 63 appearances across his two spells with AC Milan and Napoli, which Fiorentina will be hoping can help them improve on their 13th-placed finish in the league this season.
In total, Bakayoko has only made 43 appearances for the Blues, which all came in his debut season during the 2017-18 campaign. body check tags ::
