Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud is reportedly reluctant to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
The 34-year-old's current deal with the Blues is due to expire at the end of June, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding his future in recent months.
According to Goal, Chelsea are willing to open talks over a short-term extension, but the France international would have to accept a bit-part role under head coach Thomas Tuchel.
The report claims that the experienced striker has not yet made a decision on his future, but he is unlikely to pen an extension due to his current position in the squad.
Giroud has scored 11 times in 27 appearances at club level this term but just four of those goals have come in the Premier League.
The Frenchman was not even in the squad against West Ham United in the Premier League last weekend, while he was an unused substitute for the Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Tuesday.
