Juventus have reportedly grown increasingly confident of securing a January deal for Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri.
Alex Sandro is currently regarded as first choice at the Italian champions, but manager Massimiliano Allegri is allegedly keen to bring in an alternative at the midway point of the campaign.
According to the Daily Star, Juventus feel that they will be able to push through the signing of Palmieri before the end of the month.
The 24-year-old has spent the last 12 months at Stamford Bridge, but the Italian has made just 14 starts and four substitute appearances in all competitions.
The report suggests that Juventus are looking to sign Emerson for £15m at a time when they are ready to allow Chelsea to loan Gonzalo Higuain until the end of the season.
