Chelsea have had their latest bid for Spurs midfielder Luka Modric rejected, and have been told not to make any further offers for the player.
According to reports, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has told Stamford Bridge that any future bids for the Croat will not be considered.
Chelsea’s latest £30m bid was sweetened by the offer of Israeli international Yossi Benayoun, but Redknapp said earlier this week that he believes the deal is off and is planning to play Modric against Manchester City this weekend.
Modric missed Tottenham’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester United on Monday after Redknapp revealed that the player’s head was "not in the right place".
