Leicester City have reportedly identified players from Chelsea and Liverpool as potential summer transfer targets.
Having earned an immediate return to the Premier League, the Foxes are currently attempting to put together a squad capable of avoiding relegation with new head coach Steve Cooper at the helm.
As well as completing the permanent addition of former loanee Abdul Fatawu, the likes of Caleb Okoli, Michael Golding and Bobby Decordova-Reid have arrived from Atalanta BC, Chelsea and Fulham respectively.
However, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Kelechi Iheanacho - both important players going forward - having departed the King Power Stadium, the squad is in need of further signings.
Given their well-documented financial issues, it is unclear what Leicester are prepared to spend during the closing four weeks of the summer transfer window, yet it appears that they are setting their sights high.
Chelsea forward on Leicester radar
According to the Daily Mail, Leicester have an interest in signing Chelsea forward David Datro Fofana.
Having been left out of Chelsea's pre-season tour of the United States, it was made clear that the Ivorian does not have an immediate future at Stamford Bridge.
From the outside, the 21-year-old is unlikely to be considered for a senior role under Enzo Maresca, particularly when the West Londoners are in the market for another forward.
The report claims that Fofana, who scored a combined total of six goals from 32 outings for Union Berlin and Burnley last season, may be allowed to leave on loan, providing that an obligation to buy is included in the proposal.
Veteran Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka are currently Leicester's options in attack, with Tom Cannon also providing competition ahead of potentially going out on loan.
Leicester join Carvalho race
Liverpool playmaker Fabio Carvalho is also said to be of interest to Leicester at a time when it has been suggested that he could depart Anfield.
Southampton have already failed with a bid to secure the services of the 21-year-old, Liverpool turning down a proposal in the region of £15m.
Whether Leicester would be prepared to offer more than the Saints remains to be seen, yet they have allegedly made contact with their counterparts on Merseyside.
Carvalho, who spent the second half of last season at Hull City, may still be kept by Liverpool boss Arne Slot having scored in pre-season friendlies against Arsenal and Manchester United. body check tags ::
