Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg have reportedly emerged as rivals to Werder Bremen for the signature of Chelsea winger Kevin de Bruyne.
The Belgian international has fallen out of favour with Blues boss Jose Mourinho, leading to speculation that he could be loaned out in January.
Bremen have already expressed their interest in taking him back on a short-term deal after he impressed at the Weserstadion last season.
However, The Mirror reports that they face competition from their Bundesliga rivals.
Leverkusen were thought to be keen on seeing a loan deal included as part of the package that took Andre Schurrle to Stamford Bridge over the summer, whereas Wolfsburg have been hit by a long-term injury to Vieirinha.
