Real Madrid have reportedly signalled their intent to make a bid for Chelsea defender David Luiz during the January transfer window.
Luiz has been a permanent fixture in Antonio Conte's side since his return to Stamford Bridge in 2016, but the centre-back has recently found himself on the sidelines after an alleged disagreement with the Blues head coach.
The Brazilian international has started just one game throughout November, which came in the Champions League, and according to the Daily Mail, Madrid are looking to take advantage of the 30-year-old's situation in West London.
Real have endured a disappointing three months in La Liga with the defending champions sitting eight points adrift of leaders Barcelona, and the Spanish giants are likely to do business at the start of 2018.
Zinedine Zidane has a number of options in the centre of defence, but Luiz would potentially command a regular starting role, which he requires to make Brazil's World Cup squad next summer.
However, Luiz is currently suffering with a knee problem, one which will keep him out of Chelsea's Premier League clash with Swansea City on Wednesday night.
