Chelsea reportedly intend to renew their interest in Juventus full-back Alex Sandro ahead of the January transfer window.
The Blues were keen to bring the 26-year-old to Stamford Bridge during the summer and were rumoured to be willing to spend as much as £60m to land him.
According to The Express, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte may have better success signing the Brazilian defender in the New Year as he will likely have bigger financial backing.
That is because David Luiz is on the radar of Real Madrid, who are themselves prepared to splash out to strengthen their defensive unit for the second half of the campaign, freeing up funds for Conte.
Juve are understood to be in talks with Sandro over a new contract, however, which would see him earn around £4.5m a year if he commits until 2022.
