Anzhi Makhachkala are interested in signing striker Fernando Torres from Chelsea, according to The People.
It has been reported that Anzhi coach Guus Hiddink, who worked at Stamford Bridge in 2009, has already discussed the transfer with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
If newly-appointed interim manager Rafael Benitez cannot get the best out of Torres, then the Russian club will sign him at the end of the season.
Hiddink's decision to retire from coaching next summer will not affect the two clubs' agreement, as Anzhi sporting director Roberto Carlos backs the arrival of Torres to the Dynamo Stadium.
Torres joined Chelsea from Liverpool in January 2011 for £50m.
