Chelsea are reportedly considering meeting the buyout clause in the contract of Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado.
The Colombian international has been heavily linked to Manchester United, with some reports claiming that the two parties held talks last summer.
A move failed to materialise and the 26-year-old, who caught the attention at last summer's World Cup in Brazil, opted to sign a new five-year deal in Italy.
According to the Daily Star, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is an admirer of Cuadrado and may activate his £26.8m release clause this month.
It is believed that Mourinho has been tracking the winger since returning to Chelsea in 2013.
