Roma's Antonio Rudiger has reportedly arrived in London as the centre-back prepares to undergo a medical with Chelsea.
It has recently been claimed that the Blues have agreed a £33m fee with Roma for the transfer of the defender, who helped Germany win the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia earlier this summer.
Manchester City were said to have made a late play for the 24-year-old, but according to Sky Sports News, Rudiger has arrived in the English capital to undergo a medical after agreeing personal terms with Antonio Conte's side.
Rudiger joined Roma from Stuttgart in the summer of 2015 - initially on loan - and has made 72 appearances for the Italian giants over the last two seasons.
Southampton's Virgil van Dijk and Juventus's Leonardo Bonucci have been strongly linked with Chelsea this summer, but it is understood that the arrival of Rudiger will end Conte's interest in the duo.
