Experienced centre-back Thiago Silva has reportedly agreed a one-year contract extension with Chelsea.
The 36-year-old penned a one-year deal with the Blues upon his arrival last summer, and the Brazilian has been an important player for his English club this season, making 34 appearances in all competitions.
The defender started Saturday's Champions League final but had to be substituted in the first half of his side's 1-0 victory, having picked up an injury.
Silva's existing deal with Chelsea is due to expire at the end of next month, but according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the South American is staying at Stamford Bridge until June 2022.
Romano claims that an extension has 'never been in doubt', with the two parties reaching an agreement some time ago, and Thomas Tuchel's side will announce the deal 'soon'.
Silva made 315 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain before leaving the club on a free transfer last year.
