Chelsea have confirmed that they have agreed the two-year loan of Fernando Torres to AC Milan.
The move now depends on Torres agreeing personal terms and passing a medical with the Rossoneri.
Reports have claimed that the striker will undergo a medical examination in Italy on Saturday morning.
He cost Chelsea a then-British-record fee of £50m when he signed from Liverpool in 2011, but has fallen down the pecking order following the arrival of Diego Costa and return of Didier Drogba, and his Blues contract will have expired when he returns to Stamford Bridge at the end of this deal.
The 30-year-old, who has scored 20 goals in 110 Premier League games for Chelsea, will help Milan fill the void left by Mario Balotelli, who moved to the Spaniard's former Anfield stomping ground last week.
