Chelsea have allowed youngster Alex Davey to join Norwegian side Stabaek on loan.
The 21-year-old, who is yet to represent the Blues at senior level, has had previous temporary stints with Scunthorpe United and Peterborough United.
However, the Scottish defender will now make his first move overseas with the Tippeligaen outfit until July 22.
Stabaek are currently managed by former Blackburn Rovers, Leicester City and Scotland midfielder Billy McKinlay.
