Inter Milan midfielder Javier Zanetti has indicated that he will leave his future in the hands of club president Erick Thohir.
Zanetti is out of contract at the end of the campaign, and reports have linked him with a move to Chelsea, but despite previously rejecting the possibility of a switch, the versatile Argentine has refused to rule out leaving the Serie A outfit.
The 40-year-old is quoted by Crunchsports.com as saying: "This season I wanted to return from a serious injury, show I can be useful and keep playing.
"The most important thing is the future of this team, qualifying for Europe and finishing the season well. Then we will see - I am here and available.
"The bond between Inter and I will last forever. At the end of this season, thanks to the great relationship that I have with president Erick Thohir, we will assess what is best for Inter."
Zanetti has made 851 appearances for Inter since joining the club in 1995.
