Inter Milan have returned to winning ways in Serie A with a 2-0 win against Chievo in Verona.
The Flying Donkeys started the game the brighter of the two teams and created their first chance after just three minutes.
David di Michele whipped in a ball that Sergio Pellissier turned towards the goal, only for Samir Handanovic to make an important save in the Inter goal.
Pellissier had another chance in the 22nd minute when he was sent through in behind the Nerazzurri defence, but he failed to take his shot properly.
Six minutes later he once again took an attempt at the Inter goal, but failed to keep it on target.
Thereafter, Inter took control of the match, with Fredy Guarin lashing a shot across the face of the Chievo goal.
Then with three minutes left for the half-time interval, the visitors went ahead when Alvaro Pereira turned in Yuto Nagatomo's speculative shot.
Inter almost scored their second goal of the evening in the 64th minute when Diego Milito and Antonio Cassano combined, but Chievo averted the danger.
However, there was no stopping Cassano in the 74th minute when he put the finishing touch to a move constructed by Walter Gargano and involving Milito.
