Arturo Vidal has given Chile's supporters a boost by being named in the side to face Australia in Group B on Friday night.
The Juventus midfielder has played just 15 minutes since undergoing knee surgery in the latter stages of the season, but he is back for the beginning of their campaign in Cuiaba.
Alexis Sanchez starts in attack alongside Eduardo Vargas, while there is also a place in the side for Cardiff City midfielder Gary Medel.
Mile Jedinak captains Group B underdogs Australia, with Tim Cahill pushed further up the pitch as the main support to striker Mathew Lekie.
